Everyday Adventures: Day Trip to NASA Johnson Center

In January, my mom and I went to NASA Johnson Center, and after trying to get into the actual center, we were redirected to the visitors center. It's gonna be mostly photos from here on out.

Waiting to get in, and then my lunch.
Inside, we looked at things for a while like these control panels.

Then we got on the tram to the one, the only NASA JOHNSON STYLE CENTER!

The historic landmark thingy outside Mission Control.

Up the stairs to the original control room.
This photo uses more megabytes than were needed for each Apollo mission.
Then we were back on the tram to a building with a bunch of things used for training people for space.

This is a facsimile of what the Russians use to bring people back from space. It lands on the ground, not the water.

Then back to the tram to see the rocket exhibits.
Some pile of dirt in this photo is important for a reason I can't quite remember.

ROCKETS!

I love this shot.

Not a dunce cap.

Who knew NASA created the daleks?
Outside was cool, then we went inside and, well, see for yourself...

OH MY GOD! IT'S HUGE!

Then we got back on the tram to go back to the visitor's center, where we toured exhibits about the space station and various missions.

Mom touching the moon rock.

The tin can that we used to shoot guys into space for the first time.
We shot two guys up in this tin can.

We also got to tour the space station model that had been used for training, and the one seen in the first pictures in this post.

Back inside now.

That's what I got, hope you enjoyed.
